About Me
I’d just spent 6 grueling years working hard as the sole income provider putting my husband through school and now it was my turn! I began taking college classes and although I excelled, I felt like something didn’t quite gel for me. After meeting with a school counselor and reading a book titled, “What color is your parachute,” I decided to explore the idea of Beauty School. Long story short- I never looked back! I found the world of hair design to be a perfect fit for my artistic, ADD brain! I loved the design aspect as well as relationship building with my clients every 4 to 7 weeks. The term “client family” gained new understanding with me as they truly became a family of sorts-one I completely fell in love with!
A bit more background; I grew up in a rural farming community in an Amish home and although the Amish culture is austere and revere’s all things “plain”, I had a grandfather who loved to paint portraits. In retrospect, he was a truly gifted man who utilized his talent within the boundaries placed upon him by his culture. He passed on that love of the arts to his children and grandchildren in many forms. For me, it was hair design.
Although I’m a veteran hair designer (20+ years in the biz) with a large following, I haven’t allowed myself to become complacent. I’m passionate about continuing education and am constantly seeking the latest in all things “hair”. I believe the people who choose me over the thousands of other stylists, deserve the very best in hair design and I work hard to make it available to them.
I do my best work on clients who allow me free rein to create. I’ve been gifted with an eye for hair design and the looks best suited for my clients face shape, overall physical appearance, and personality. My clients love my attention to detail, be it in designing their unique color formula, color placement or the detailing I give to each haircut.
